Should I-Pads be in the classroom?

Yes! I highly recommend using I-pads in your classroom. The I-pad has apps for all ages, grades, and levels. I really enjoyed the old McDonald had a farm app and the itsy bitsy spider. They are interactive games that can be done with very young children. Lots of apps build in social stories for children. Some of the specific apps that they include are teaching body parts, yes/no, counting, and colors. Some challenges may be that students get very excited and just want to keep clicking and not really understand what they are suppose to be doing. I would be extremely comfortable using the I-pad in my classroom. I already have used them and found great success! I have used them in 6th grade for president projects. I have used them in kindergarten for students who are learning how to type. There is an endless amount of programs and apps that are available.

I would highly recommend this video!

  1. iPad applications are great. You can find any type of application you desire. From cooking recipe applications to educational assistance applications, whatever your heart desires! I also think iPad's should be implemented within the classroom.
