Past event cards allows students to share what has happened in an event that has already happened. This is an alternative for show and tell. If students receive a card they will get a chance to share an exciting event that happened to them. Other students are allowed to ask questions and share connections. This is a great tool that brings together classroom community and student confidence. A generic template allows students to share about absolutely anything that is appropriate. I have never seen or tried to use past event cards in my classroom but I look forward to trying them soon!
