The NEO automatically saves text and work in original file. The font size can be enlarged. The NEO is very portable and connected to a computer very easily into Microsoft word. It usually cost between 250 and 300 dollars. This device is very helpful for students with dysgraphia. Dysgraphia is a learning disability that affects writing, which requires a complex set of motor and information processing skills. It can lead to problems with spelling, poor handwriting and putting thoughts on paper. People with dysgraphia might have trouble organizing letters, numbers and words on a line or page. This tutorial was very helpful and I would feel comfortable using this with a student in my class.

These types could include expanded keyboard, mini-keyboards, one-handed keyboards, on-screen keyboards, and customizable.  Students usually have characteristics similar to poor motor control, cognitive deficits, cannot use a keyboard, and need modifications to standard overlays. These assistive technology tools should be placed in a students IEP.

After looking through a tutorial, I found that they can be used for a variety of reading disabilities but also for all students. I have used books on CD while student teaching and found students to love them. Following along and reading with the CD will help promote reading fluency and comprehension.

This software would be extremely helpful to students who are blind or have visual impairments.
