Tools can be used to help visual-spatial and motor control difficulties

There are a few kinds of technology that can be used to address visual-spatial or motor control difficulties. The one that I found to most helpful is Math input panel in windows 7. Math equations can be written into the math input pad using the tablet and stylus setup. This panel allows math equations to be handwritten into a program and then converted into a text-based math equation. The program maintains both accuracy and great visual representation of the equation and its meaning.

  1. Lindsay,

I have never used the Math input panel on Windows 7 but feel as though it would be beneficial for students who have difficulty understanding math concepts. I think the visual representations would help students better understand what they are learning. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Hi Lindsay,

This seems like a neat and easy tool to use for math teachers. You have a clear explanation of how it works.
